launch profiles

Saved starting points — a folder and a command — for the places you work every day.

A profile is three things: a name, a working directory, and the command to run there. Launching one opens a session already in that folder, already running that command.

Creating one

Create Profile…, from the ▾ menu on the sidebar’s + button or from File → Launch Session with Profile. The sheet has all three fields in front of you. Leave the command empty for a plain shell; claude is the usual answer for anything else.

Managing them

Manage Profiles… puts the list beside a live-editing form. + adds, − removes, and dragging reorders — that list is the menu order, so the profile you launch most often can sit at the top.

The many-worktrees workflow

This is what profiles are for. One profile per worktree, each running claude in the right directory, and starting work on any of them is two clicks from anywhere in the app. Combined with New Claude in Folder… for the one-offs, you stop typing cd into a fresh shell several times a day.

Profiles live in config.json alongside everything else — see Configuration.
